Our Team

(ZIGGD) The Zimbabwe Initiative for Good Governance and Democracy Trust (ZIGGD) is a newly registered non-political organisation whose purpose is to be a potent pressure group within a Zimbabwean context. We aim to become a watchdog for good governance for the current and successive governments.


Brief Background

Mr. Edwin Dzambara

Edwin Dzambara, the ZIGGD President, is an accomplished high school teacher and has a Diploma in Education (secondary school).He has been teaching for more than 25 years now. He also possesses an International Diploma in Transport and Logistics with Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport (CILT LONDON). Also, he possesses a BSC Geography and Environmental studies degree (ZOU) and is computer literate. The President has long experience in administration in situations of huge crowd and is a motivational speaker. He is the chairperson of Zimbabwe People Protection Forum (ZIMPPROF) which is a livelihood based Trust organization and is a member of several civic organizations. The president has long experience in civic organizations such as church based, human rights NGOs and other related forums. He has been fighting for the rights of citizens in Zimbabwe and assisted in acquisition of basic necessities such as food, clothes, shelter, health facilities and many more for the politically displaced and other disadvantaged groups of people inside Zimbabwe. He has been engaged in issues related to democracy and human rights through holding regular workshops and trainings. He is highly networked with other human rights groups in Zimbabwe.

Mr Jabulani Ndlovu, is an accomplished human rights defender. He has been involved in livelihood programmes in rural and urban communities for a very long time. He has diplomas in Conflict Management (  Newport University, USA), Organisational Development ( Newport University, USA ), Painting and Design (Bulawayo Polytechnic ), Currently he is doing Economics for the Developing world ( UNISA ). He is a community mobiliser for Germany Agro Action (GAA), project officer for Health Education and Food Security Organisation ( HEFO ) and  an OTC Nkayi district projects officer.

Petronella Ganje is the Secretary of the organisation and studied secretarial courses and also specialised in Business English. She has vast experience in human rights issues and administration of various organisations. Also the Secretary has a work experience as a receptionist, in clerical and administrative duties. She has exceptional, interpersonal, organisational, communication and critical thinking skills. The Secretary is highly proficient with computers, particularly with MS office, internet and can utilize various applications including running reports, spreadsheets and can carry out tasks in a highly organised manner. She has worked in different organisations such as Responsive Research, Net-Africa Logistics and Tamiyara Logistcs, where she provided day to day administration, customer services, tracking updates and data capturing. Most of her duties involved supervising a large workforce and determine strategies and policies that ensure the smooth running of organisations.

Paida Faith Bondayi is the Information and Publicity Secretary for the organisation. She is a young, dedicated and dynamic leader who can articulate issues clearly and fluently to enhance the values, missions and principles of the organisation. She has been involved in various public forums which require the voiceless to be represented and she has significantly contributed much through dissemination of ideas and views for public consumption. The organisation is proud to have such an excellent vibrant lady who is dedicated to fight injustice, corruption, human rights abuse, bad governance and the general welfare to improve the standard of living of citizens of Zimbabwe.
